1. Summary and DPDP Act Adherence
Nothing matters more to us, than you having a great experience using
Castle
, India’s largest all-free source of Entertainment.
This Privacy Policy outlines how we process your data in a manner compliant with the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) 2023, India.
If you use Castle—compatible with Android devices 6.0 and up, as well as PCs, Smart TVs and FireStick through the approved means—you’re accepting this open approach to privacy, intended to protect your identity while enhancing your streaming experience.
2. No need to sign up, and the data is collected anonymously.
The first thing to know: You don’t need to sign up or provide any personal information in order to use Castle. We never collect your name, your email, your phone number or where you live — no mandatory logins, no undisclosed forms.
The only information we do collect is information that cannot be tied back to you personally, including:
Your mobile device model, whether it’s an Android phone or a PC emulator;
If you’re on Wi-Fi or mobile data;
What categories of content you lean into (live sports, Bollywood movies, regional shows);
How long you watch things online;
What you download;
Which features of the service are used in aggregate (subtitle tweaks made, playback quality changed, favorites saved or casted to TV).
This data is completely anonymous — we can’t connect it to you — and we only use it to make Castle better.
3. Using De-identified Information
What do we do with this anonymous info? Easy: to adapt Castle for Indian audiences. It helps us:
Ensure the app is smooth and responsive across all supported devices, from budget Android phones to Smart TVs;
Recommend things you might actually be into — like IPL matches if you’re a cricket fan, or Tamil dramas if that’s your jam;
Resolve glitches quickly;
Enhance streaming and downloads;
Add even more of the content people have been asking for.
We’re not here to stockpile data—we’re using these little chunks of information to make your time in Castle better.
4. Safeguarding Your Data
Your data is kept on secure, encrypted servers with the highest levels of security to ensure that it never gets into the wrong hands.
We don’t hang onto it forever, either — and as soon as it’s of no use to improve the app, we erase all traces of it.
Now, truth be told: no online storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee there won’t be threats, but we bust our asses to keep your information as protected as possible with regular security assessments and updates.
5. Data Disclosure Rules
For us, one rule we never break: we never sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for marketing or profit.
The only time we could share it is if its required by Indian law, a court orders us to do so or we need to protect our legal rights, your safety or the app itself.
If Castle is ever merged with or sold to another company, your data will go to the new owner — but they’ll have to abide by the same privacy rules that govern us.
6. User Rights & Policy Updates
You, too, have rights under the DPDP Act 2023. You can request to view the anonymized data we have, or correct it if something’s inaccurate, or instruct us to delete it.
Get in touch with our well-trained support team, and we’ll deliver the response time as it is required by law.
We may revise this policy from time to time — if we do, we’ll make it clear when the new date is, and continued use of Castle after that means you agree with our updates.
If you have questions or concerns about your privacy, please reach out—we want to ensure that every time you stream with Castle you feel safe and your data is secure.
